Rusty Blues

Rustybluesquares

These are the colors catching my eye lately:  blue painted metal going rusty, so-called ugly but ever so trusty blue tarps and wood tones, sunflower stalks still standing, offering the birds their seeds against the blue of the mountains and grasses, all dusted with a skiff of snow.  Some pics are from town, others from friends' houses, one is a pile of stuff right in front the shop at our place.  And then Adrian had to go and dye up this "Lavish" fiber.

These are also the colors that I've been pulling out of the leftover sock yarn stash when avoiding the projects I'm "supposed" to be working on.  A handful more of these squares.  Pattern at Fun Knits.  Click on "Blog" and then go to the 2005 archives, searching back to the February, 20 2005 post.

Those are beautiful blues and beautiful shots too!

2nd square from the right makes my heart sing

You really make me miss living in the mountains *sigh*. I should try harder to find inspirational colors inbetween the pavement and powerlines. Do you have a plan for the squares?

Ah yes, the trusty blue tarp. I complain to dh how tacky they look, but the truth is that without them my chickens would drown and my wood would be wet.

Very soothing colours there! I like that pattern -I've printed it off. I'm always happy to find a use for the sock leftovers. :0)

i love that color combo too. so much color inspiration surrounds you. and i like those squares.

I, for one, wish to see a big collage of all your truck photos.

Love your blues!

What will the squares become when they are all grown up? or will they stay cute li'l babes? Lovely, though.

Oo, oo, I like these colors together! That's a new combo I haven't seen around much, unlike the ever-present baby blue and brown! Great shots.

I love the old truck with the snow and combining it with the yarn. Brillant. Great visuals.

You have such a great eye for color and pattern. I love it when you post these photomosaics, especially that they are from your home. Very cool.

What beautiful photos! They're really lovely together.

Really great! Love those squares!
