Too many pictures?
I forgot to bring insect repellent. Between the mosquitos, small biting flies, and huge deer flies, we couldn't spend much time in the campground aside from an hour or so in the morning, not even at night around a fire. It didn't matter much since it too hot for a fire and I also forgot two of the three key ingredients in s'mores, the chocolate and the marshmallows. Duh. Oh, and I forgot the mayo, ketchup, and mustard for burgers too so, instead, we downed bowls of cereal and cold fried chicken and, to avoid being eaten alive, went back out onto the water until dusk, just in time to crawl into a relatively bug free tent and collapse.
Note to selves: don't camp here again in mid-July.

My boys would love that, except the bus & s'mores part, of course I would also forget something.

Despite all of the little snags and forgotten items, you were able to enjoy the true beauty. Your photos are stunning!

Not Enough Pictures! I get a little thrill when bloglines tells me you've updated. I always think - What has Siri photographed today? Your pictures are always a breath of fresh air. I love the blue and orange contrast. It looks like a good trip, despite the forgotten items.
I have a typed packing list for campouts that I always use - one for clothes and one for food to help me remember everything. It's a huge help.

Sorry it was sweaty and buggy. Luckily that doesn't show up in the pix. Beautiful, beautiful. Thanks for sharing your slice of heaven with us!

Wow! It's gorgeous. That blue... wow. Sorry about the bugs though. At least they leave you alone on the water, and when the water looks like that, you'd want to be on it as much as possible anyway, right?

Wow, great pictures! We were at Glacier at the beginning of July. We spent a day at Bowman Lake and Polebridge, and we also forgot our bug spray. We aborted the hike after about 20 minutes, and spent the afternoon skipping rocks in stead.
Strange to consider that if we had gone 10 days later, I might have bumped into you in Polebridge...small world!

Beautiful photos! We went out once with bacon, eggs, etc. and I forgot the frying pan. We did manage to buy a cheap one at a country store, but that little failure in my planning has made for a lot of laughter through the years, as my children (now 46 and 43) often talk about the time Mom forgot the frying pan. You will probably have some stories told about this camping trip for many a year!

yes, but the canoing? Ooohhh. Ahhh...
Hopefully the insects left you alone on the water!

Thank you for the pictures of the Rockies and the glacier water! So beautiful. They make me homesick for Alberta.

Oh, your pictures are just how I remember Glacier. Blue from top to bottom. We have always been there in the fall, though.
I always end up forgetting something when we go camping, too. I guess it's all part of the "make-do" attitude that camping requires! :)

Absolutely gorgeous! We were there two summers ago and want to go back. My favorite part of our trip was that lake.
