We found it.

Fall.  We went looking and we found it, just up the road, although the boys were far more interested in climbing and throwing rocks. 

I came home with hands and pockets full of leaves and a bouquet of the hardiest of the stragglers, a remaining few asters, daisies, and goldenrod, while they loaded the car (see it waaaay down there?) full of sticks daggers, spears, clubs, boats and lichens gnome/troll beards. 

We even came across a few raindrops trying to be snow!  Brrr!

Ooh - your fall foliage is much further along than ours in the Northeast. It's my favorite season so I can hardly wait. The boys just asked me when we're going apple picking. Yum.... Enjoy the season.

Thanks for the beautiful pictures. We live in NW Florida, so fall comes late and doesn't stay nearly long enough. Imagine: snowflakes in September! FYI, my dream vacation is a trip to Montana. My husband was planning on taking me for our 30th anniversary earlier this month, but we just couldn't swing it right now. Oh well, that just gives me more time to dream about it and visit it vicariously through your posts.

I was feeling yesterday that fall had snuck up on us and we had almost missed it. We were driving along and the leaves were falling and piling on the side of the road. Of course, it's 80 degrees here in PA, it seems funny to see your kids all bundled up.
