Give thanks, even if for one, small thing

Leafpatches

like a friend who asks you to knit some leaves with which she'll patch her holey sweater, the one she wears while working in her garden, and to her job of making holiday wreaths this time of year, the friend who calls you each and every morning, just to check in for a few minutes before getting along with the rest of the day.  (Pattern from Nicky Epstein's Knitted Embellishments.)

The leaves are beautiful; what a lovely idea. Thanks for sharing the snow pictures too. Sewing always makes me swear too!

wow, that sounds like a good idea, patching a sweater with leaves! How cute.

I loved the leaves! What a great idea to patch sweaters with - thanks so much! I'm new to knitting but I think I might be able to do this....and maybe not, maybe my leaves will look like mini-man-hole covers -but I just love the idea of a knitted patch!
