The Christmas wrap-up post that would have been.
The drains are cleared, the phone company spent the morning fixing our internet connection and now its working better than ever, I slept until 9:30, E slept until 10:00, my throat isn't nearly as sore as it could be, C is at the doctor right now with the boys having their ears checked and, miracle of miracles, E himself even asked to go to see the doctor in hopes of easing the pain. They're stopping to restock on orange juice and at the library for movies that, hopefully, will play.
Wow, what a difference one day can make.
We're still going to miss out on what could have been a really fun couple of days: dinner out and a night at a hotel with a swimming pool with C's mom and his sister's family, followed by a day of skiing on fresh snow. Oh well. We had a couple of good days spent with her before illness set in. She's left us with a couple of pans full of her awesome manicotti, one even dairy-free for C. For the rest of us, all that cheese isn't really the best for our colds, but the love baked into it surely negates the side effects, right? We'll just hunker down, eat up, and watch it SNOW! Yay! Finally!!!!!
The bright side of spending nearly 3 days straight in the same pajamas: very little laundry.
Thank you for all the concern. Your comments left me laughing. I had a mind to erase the last post altogether. Instead, I'll just leave it there in the past, amended by all your well wishes.
Again, the pictures here are on Flickr, with descriptions and notes there.

Wow - if we didn't know everyone was sick, those napping pictures would have looked dreamy. (They still do - but we know that your loved ones are sick). As always you can make anything look GREAT. Your tin collection is awesome... especially the Coca-Cola. Never would have thought of that. Is it up all year or just for the holidays?
I'm so glad things are on the upturn. Smiles and hugs.

Oh, I didn't catch your last post. I'll leave this comment before delving into it. I hope in spite of everything you had a good holiday (?)! Take care and enjoy your movies...
Where did you get those Swedish horse cookie cutters?! I love them! I've had one of those horses since I was a little girl, brought back for me from my Grandmother's trip to Sweden.

I swear, your kids look so cute and angelic I'm sure there's a line of Hallmark collectible figurines based on them. (Having a cherubic boy of my own I know that looks can be deceiving, though.)

Happy New Year! Great photos! May I ask where you came upon the Nordic linen hung under the mantel. Also wondering where the cookie cutters are from. Thanks and best to you in the New year!
