It's dumping!
Yesterday it rained and rained, washing much of the snow away, turning the rest to slush and ice. Last night it blew like crazy in the middle of the night, but bringing no snow until the wee hours.
This morning, I woke, looked outside the window, smiled, and screamed! Next: grabbed the phone to called my big brother in NYC. He's like a a kid still when it comes to snow. We have an unwritten agreement to call eachother and share things like the first snow of the year and days like today when "It's dumping!"

Oh, how I wish it was dumping here... I am in Connecticut, but it hasn't dumped here yet- maybe in February. I have been distracted from my current knitting by your beautiful Razorshell neck warmer.... and I think I may even have a hidden ball of Matchmaker Merino whispering my name. Do you remember how many stitches you cast on to get that cozy circumfrence? Mind sharing your wisdom? Enjoy your snow!

What a fun tradition! It was DUMPING here yesterday, too. I love those HUGE snowflakes that gather so quickly. Sigh, I really do love winter.

I have enjoyed seeing all the snow on your blog since we've had next to nothing in Connecticut. Enjoy the snow day!

It' s dumping here in Vancouver, too, but my sister's in Mexico and I can't reach her by phone. So glad to hear that other families do this, too.
