Off.
Off running errands, gathering necessaries for R's birthday later this week, and I just might pop into a quilt shop for a peek around.
This picture isn't current, it's few weeks old, but it's the highway I'll be driving down today. There shouldn't be as much snow as then, and the skies are clear and blue. It wouldn't be unlikely to see a bald eagle or two along the way this time of year. Always a long, lovely drive except after dark when the deer are thick along the sides of the road. Fortunately the days are lengthening, but still, I must be going so as to be back before dark. Hope you're having a great day.

Beautiful photo! I, too, have a birthday this week to celebrate! And a whole 100 miles of highway to traverse to do so! I hope your celebration and travels are safe, fun, and memorable.

picked up oldest child after a b-ball game last night and she wanted to chat so we drove around. saw 6 deer and later an owl with dinner by the side of the road. turned around for that one. with no snow, the deer are everyone with plenty to eat, so we drive cautiously. safe driving to you.:)

Except for the telephone pole, the photo is like entering a magical place - what's 'round the corner awaiting us?

I remember driving the icy Montana roads to town 90 miles or so away. The threat for us closer to Yellowstone was buffalo and moose. Bison like lying down and getting covered with snow then they blend right in...in the middle of the road!
