Not-so-smart wool, darn it.
E couldn't have worn these more than 7 or 8 times before the first hole developed. Another wearing and there were two. There was a near melt-down, though, at the suggestion that he could wear his tiger socks instead while skiing last weekend. So, a little last-minute darning with leftover sock yarns in the car on the way to the mountain. Not-so-smart wool afterall.
Whoops. I didn't really mean to fall off the blogging planet. Just so much going on around here: a house and car cleaning binge which all seems to be nearly come undone already, my parents are in town, C's been in bed sick with the flu all week, skiing, schooling, knitting, sewing, flickr surfing, and beginning to go through the backlog of pictures piled up on the computer. OH MY. Hoping to play catch up here soon.

Good thing he's got such a talented Mom! Happy Belated Birthday C. Eight is so much fun. Enjoy every minute of it.

Isn't spring a bit like that---lots to do and things just start speeding up.
I have a sick one here, too. 'Tis the spring season for that, too!!
Maybe they don't make wool as smart as they used to?? ;-)

We too went through a bunch of Smart Wool socks this winter. I kept asking my family if we were being especially hard on our socks. Just living...
