Torn
Not quite sure on what to blame the lack of posting. The two books on my lap in the car yesterday morning on the way to the ski hill could be a clue. I just couldn't decide which one to pick up first. Ultimately, Knitting for Anarchists won out (a good enough read but, personally, I'd start with EZ first and let a little knitting pass through your hands before tackling this one or else it could seem a bit technical, dry, and confusing). The other book can only be taken in in small doses.
A pair of socks in progress gets stuffed into the backpack each weekend along with brown bag lunches, water bottles, thermoses of cocoa, sunscreen, and extra goggles and gloves. There's always a little time during lunch in the ski lodge for knitting a few rounds. Still, progress is slow.
It's not that there isn't any knitting/crafting/skiing//schooling/life in general to put out there into the online aether. Too much, in fact, to fit much else in, so that the act of sitting down and turning out posts here seems insurmountably huge right now.

Knitting for anarchists sounds interesting. There seems to be more kind of these anti-traditional things around, as if there was a need to show that knitting is not just for grandmas. I like this site. And have you noticed that lot of men knit these days?

Yeah understandably! We used to ski every weekend when I was kid and we all just crashed when we got home. Enjoy the mountains - the internet will always be there. :)

I liked Knitting for Anarchists.
I think that having too much fun to post is quite an acceptable "excuse!" Keep it up---though, I would like to see you around here, too!;-)
