Last Saturday evening. 100 degrees F. Sailing. Swimming. Family. Burgers and fresh corn barbecued at the beach. Obscenely ginormous ice cream cones at the corner grocery store. Driving home by sunset AND the full moon. Even being pulled over for a tail light not working on the boat trailer couldn't spoil such an evening. It didn't hurt that we got the nicest highway patrol officer ever and, I suspect she was feeling the perfection of such a night, too.
To those I owe emails to (especially Alicia & Pam for the gorgeous clogs, and Sharon for the incredible gnome swap package) thank you, thank you & thank you! I'll post about it all later, OK?
The connection here at my parents' house isn't working properly so I can't get into my email at the moment nor can I seem to post any more pictures, thus posts have been sparse. My car broke down so the boys and I hopped on the train to Seattle and now the boys and I are headed off in a few hours to Norway with my mom and brother for a few weeks. It's feeling a bit like trains, planes and automobiles around here. And it's bittersweet to be going without C and my dad, not to mention to be leaving in the thick of Montana summertime and berry season.
To blogger/knitter friends in Norway, I'm afraid I'll be pretty tied up with family and our travels, and at the mercy of our "schedule", but if you have a knitting get together planned for the next few weeks, you could send me off an email (on my about page) and, you just never know, it might work out! As far as I know now, we'll be in Hokksund, Oslo, Bergen, Voss, and Jostedalen, and possibly some other spots in between.
Not sure if there will be blogging while we're away. If not, we'll catch up here when we're back, OK?
Happy trails and enjoy the end of your season and the beginning of the next.
Papa: We love you and miss you tons and tons already! Be sure to look at the movies and pictures on the camera.
