Pink toes, new snow, and new PJs (the best ever flannel fabric from JoAnn's fabric) Joining the ranks.
Pink cheeks.
Pink pjs, thanks to Old Gravy. The new squirrelly pjs were drafted from this purchased pair, only I traded the ties for elastic (When you gotta go, you gotta go, if you know what I mean.) and skipped the cute button. There were some nasty, cussing moments while making these, as in, cutting one piece with the squirrels and trees upside down, then cutting two pieces the same rather than mirror imaged. (No wonder the only time I remember my mom coming anywhere close to swearing was while she was sewing!) So sad I'd messed up this great fabric, teh only thing to do was to walk away for awhile. Coming back with a new perspective, the fix presented itself. The remainders of fabric and miscut pieces could be patched back together and a new piece cut from that. Worked like a charm, and even fixed the upside down piece. So, there's an extra seam up one of the back pieces. Who cares? They're PJ's, for pete's sake.
Did some virtual window shopping over at SuperBuzzy and Reprodepot the other day, and then realized I'm still OK with the $2 a yard sales on the knock off stuff that comes through JoAnn's every now and again.
This morning, before 9 am, rituals: hot cocoa in moose mugs after playing in the snow (liquid sugar straight to the brain) and pre-Thanksgiving preparations (the tearing up of bread for stuffing).
